The smell of flowers, the wind rustling through the large tree on the other side of the fence. Birds singing, builders hammering occasionally, and shouting, but not often enough to be annoying. The petrol engines of light aircraft flying overhead. A blue sky, and sunshine diffused enough by the light clouds so that it is not glaring and too hot. A neighbour's telephone ringing. Lives going on around me.

And here I am, sitting on a dining room chair in the garden, with my laptop, filling in a job application form. I *heart* wireless internet.

"What aspects of your current position do you like most and least?"

Most: This.
Least: Not having a comfier chair for the garden.
