Bournemouth
Aug. 11th, 2003 01:02 pmJust returned from a fantastic weekend in Bournemouth.
We went to the beach, dug a Big Hole, swam, frisbeed, barbequeued, and generally lazed about in a holidayish fashion.
Here be photos, as usual.
See the last three for the embryonic OxIRC MG Owners' Club.
Oh, and for anyone who has a carburettor with an oil-filled dashpot (e.g. the SU), make sure it's topped up with oil. On the way down to bournemouth, we pulled over in a layby after realising the orange Midget was indeed Dave's. Checked the dashpot screws for tightness, then realised they were moving up and down freely, rather than very slowly, like a coffee pot plunger. One topping up with oil from my handy syringe (essential part of any toolkit, obviously) later, and the Midget was much more enthusiastic.
