Finally some news on the MG situation worth reporting:
The insurance assessor has done his utmost to arrange things so that the car would be repaired rather than written off, and the upshot is that, pending final negotiations, I will be booking the MG into Manor Garage in Wantage soon.
Repairs will involve a new front left wing, new left door, new lower section of rear wing and possibly a new headlining. Much painting will happen, including probably the whole roof, to ensure colour matching. I'll probably get him to see to the sills, too, which have succumbed to the tinworm. That one doesn't get paid for by the insurance, though. :)
