Kids these days
Aug. 21st, 2006 01:06 pmSo there I am, sitting outside a café in the Covered Market, eating my tasty sandwich, when I hear a faint tinkle of broken glass as someone drops something while walking past.
This turns out to have been a hydrogen sulphide capsule (stink bomb to you and me).
Somewhat put off my sandwich by the smell, I now have to start commenting loudly to
saffie1981 that I saw the glass break and LOOK, there are the bits of glass. Lest the young lady seated behind us think we were both suffering from a particularly good curry from the night before.
Now, if you do such a thing, you think you'd stick around to watch the looks on the faces of your victims (I know I would) - but they just disappeared! I dunno, what a waste of effort, I mean REALLY! Plus, they lose several points for not dropping it indoors - the alleyways of the covered market have a mild breeze, and the smell cleared after a couple of minutes.
