Bus incident
May. 2nd, 2007 06:28 pmHohum, another one for the bikecam files. I've reported this one to the police, we'll see what happens.
1) Yes, I should adopt a primary position for this junction
2) It's a bit of a silly location for a mandatory cycle lane, as it allows motor vehicles to assume they can fit alongside cyclists.
3) I need to work on not averting my handlebars and thus the camera's line of sight at key moments. :-)
Even so, I reckon it was a bit close for comfort, and the bus would not have been held up for long by waiting until the line of traffic cleared on the right, or even until our lane got a green light.
