Book recommendation
Hello.
You should all go and read Fast Food Nation by Eric Schlosser. It begins relatively unremarkably, but I soon became gripped by the tales of business tactics, slaughterhouse procedures and the priorities of the fast food companies.
The trouble is that it makes you vow never to touch fast food again, while simultaneously making you lust for another taste of their carefully engineered flavours.
Have now bought 'Shopped', a similar book on the subject of the supermarket takeover of british food shopping.

Said Nile, wandering into someone's journal at random. Or not. And trying to reduce the size of my library.

(I'm sure I had a higher-rez version of that somewhere, but I can't find it now. Oh well.)
