Quote the first

I've just received a quote for labour and paint from Drewett's garage, totalling £2407.05
Then I did a quick pricing of the spares they said they needed on the MGOC parts catalogue program, totalling £560.25

That's excluding a headlining, which is a heart-attack-inducing £199.95. Might get [livejournal.com profile] saffie1981's dad to do me a custom leather headlining for that. :)

The good news, though, is it's certainly under the agreed value (i.e. maximum payout) from the insurance of £4200. I will be taking the MG on Saturday to Oselli where I bought the car, just to get a second opinion.

Ouchies! I hope you've got some no claims protection on that as well...

You know I read through this and the first thing I think is "Saffie's dad does leatherwork? Ooh." Shows you where my priorities are!

More seriously - ow. Hope your insurance comes through, I remember that 'oh f*ck' feeling all too well :(

Looking on the bright side of things, it's a good thing that it's under the maximum £4200 payout.

Optimism, people!
