As an aid to seeking out more Good New Stuff this Glastonbury, here is the lineup, I would like (please) recommendations from you fine people for acts I should go to see. It's probably safest to assume I've not seen most of the stuff on offer.
The clock is ticking now - I picked up parental van this weekend. Now I just need to pack...
Sadly,
saffie1981 can't make it this time, so I shall be on my own. Scared now. People on my f'list who are going, come and say hello to me! :-)

Plus obv some time at the circus, and just hanging around.
Some of those definitely make it to more than "maybe" but since I'm not going I'm I'll resist making myself feel like I'm missing out so much by not separating them out.

Last year we very much enjoyed the IDSpiral tent -- chill-out trance, pretty visuals projected onto the ceiling, INDOORS AND NOT IN THE RAIN OR MUD (nb this was a big part of the appeal!) and nice hot cups of chai. Mmmmm.
BTW did you get my msg on irc? I'm afraid we will be going down there on the Thursday now (ie not in your van - sorry) due to various faffishness. :-/ Will definitely see you there, though! We will locate each other by the magic of mobiles! :-)

People I'm looking out for: Bjork (who will surely lay on a good show, never mind the music); Mr Hudson and the Library (white-boy rap plus gratuitous librarian reference); The Hold Steady (rough-voiced Americana); Bat For Lashes (madwoman with piano); Piney Gir (twangy country from Oxfordshire); Beirut (fake Eastern European fiddling); Tunng (folk songs with strange percussion). But I'm prepared to miss anything for the sake of company without mud.
See you there!

Perhaps I should invite people round to my van for tea (or beer), then... :)
