Loading up the van was somewhat hampered by the BIG HOLE, but we managed eventually to fit everything in (using the MG as overflow).
The drive back was not pleasant. It normally takes 3.5ish hours. It took 8 hours.
The few photos my camera batteries would let me take are at:

The dog, incidentally, is a neighbour's. They left it in their garden, and didn't realise it had worked out how to escape. So it trotted back and forth behind us while we loaded up the van.
So, no more 7 Salford Road. It's a strange feeling.
