Bank Holiday Weekend

Amazingly, despite deciding to take the MG for the BHW, it didn't even rain. Drove down to Cambridge on Thursday, and picked up the Morris from Ian Allen. Rust kept at bay for another year or few. Later, I bicycled over to the Carlton to meet lots of Cambridgey people, some of whom I'd met before. Some of them even scared me by saying things like "Ah, so you're
brrm!" It was nice to meet them, though. :-) Went on from there to Relativity for coffee, even though I didn't have coffee. Couldn't really party the night away for too long, though, since I was going to Stansted airport the next morning to pick up my parents. We then went via pub lunch to Ely to pick up the MG (yes, more of our complicated car-exchanging), and then on to Norfolk.
Nice relaxing weekend in Norfolk. Saw Harriet (cousin), John (her husband) and Maud & Allegra (their daughters). A couple of beach walks were had, including one which immediately followed a visit by myself and my dad to the Muckleburgh collection - a museum of tanks near the beach. Here be photos.
Set off today (Tuesday) for Cambridge (yes, again). Spent a very pleasant afternoon on some stereotypical lazy afternoon pursuits with
j4. Went to the Green Man (the sossidge permutation pub) for lunch. Then, we went and lazed on Grantchester meadow for a bit, overlooking the river, being warmed by the sun. Life is good.
Now I'm back in Oxford, and time to restart the job application/{interview}/rejection letter cycle again. Got a couple of hopefuls in the works at the moment.
Oh, and for the memetically inclined, I have "an entrancing kiss".
