The matrics

I have been wearing uon's coat round Oxford, to get some practice in walking swooshily. The BNC steward asked, when aendr and I picked up port for her father, whether I was in the Matrix, pronounced to rhyme with 'matrics' (short 'a'), more or less.

Zoomed off to Cambridge yesterday in rather a rush, to get to the Arts cinema in Cambridge, to go to The Matrix: Reloaded, with all sorts of Cambridgey people. We did look a sight; almost all of us dressed up appropriately, myself in the swooshy coat I'd borrowed from uon, and probably my most ambitious bit of nail-painting yet - black with some of the Matrix glyphs painted on in bright green.

Stayed the night at j4 and sion_a's house. Got up bright & early, marvelled at their shiny shiny new (shiny!) kitchen, and then attempted to contact my friend Tim. Who turned out to be at work in London, so I guess he's got a job now, which is good.

So, nothing more to do in Cambridge, I flew off in my MG back to Oxford. Fabulous weather for the first part, which really put a smile on my face. Got a bit cloudier as I approached Oxford, but no rain at least.

Then, as I approached Oxford, my iPod saw fit to play Jimi Hendrix' All Along The Watchtower and, suddenly, my MG was reminiscent of a battered pale blue Mk II Jaguar, as I cruised down the offramp and into Summertown.
